Slip into Comfort in our Historic Queen Anne Home
Our early 20th century cottage, also known as the A.M. Urquhart House, was built for Angus Mezappa and Mary Jane (Wood) Urquhart. A native of Marion County, A.M. Urquhart (1875-1909) was the grandson of Allen Urquhart, one of the founders of Jefferson.
This family residence exhibits outstanding features including a wrap around porch with its balustrade, spindle frieze and jig-cut barge boards.
In 1985, this charming cottage was recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark and was on the Jefferson Candlelight Tour in 2006.
A stay at our B&B may include an early morning coffee bar with breakfast served in the dining room or in the screened in patio.
